There are pieces that begin with a sketch, and there are pieces that begin with a feeling.
Paros Baby began with the feeling of summer — the blue shades of the Aegean sea, salty skin after a swim, warm afternoons that slowly turn into golden evenings, and the freedom of living close to nature.
When I first imagined NISI BAMBÚ, I wanted to create pieces that carried the essence of island life. Not just something you wear, but something that becomes part of your memories — the swimsuit you pack for every summer escape, the one you associate with a place, a moment, a feeling.
For this collection, the journey took me far from the Greek islands, all the way to Colombia, where I found the perfect partners to bring these designs to life.
A Colombian Story
My connection with the Colombian factory came through my best friend Lina, who introduced me to the incredible team behind the production: Jorge, Adriana, and Catalina.
In November 2024, I had the chance to visit the factory in person. Walking through the production space, meeting the people behind each step of the process, and seeing the care that goes into every garment made the experience unforgettable.
Behind every NISI BAMBÚ piece, there are hands, skills, and stories.
Seeing the seamstresses working, understanding the techniques, and witnessing the attention to detail reminded me why choosing the right production partners matters so much.
Crafted With Intention
For Paros Baby, quality was always the priority.
We selected one of the finest fabrics available in the Colombian market, choosing materials that would feel beautiful on the skin while offering the durability needed for many summers of adventures.
The collection was carefully developed with three bikini top designs and three bikini bottom designs, created in two different colorways inspired by the Mediterranean landscape. The Aegean Blue & a hand-drawn image of Naousa, a town of Paros.
Each piece was produced in small quantities, allowing us to focus on quality rather than mass production.
A More Conscious Way of Creating
From the beginning, NISI BAMBÚ has been about creating more consciously.
The factory we partnered with shares this vision, using photovoltaic solar energy for a large part of its production, reducing its environmental impact and moving towards a more responsible way of manufacturing.
For me, sustainability is not only about the materials we choose — it is also about the people we work with, the relationships we build, and creating pieces that are made to be loved for years.
The Beginning of a Journey
Paros Baby was the first chapter of NISI BAMBÚ.
It taught me that creating a collection is not only about designing beautiful clothes. It is about connecting places, cultures, people, and stories.
A piece of swimwear can carry the energy of two worlds: the Greek islands that inspired it and the Colombian hands that created it.
And that is what makes every NISI BAMBÚ piece special.
